Nurturing the next generation of business minded future leaders

In this session we highlight programmes and strategies for the development of high potential graduates, with the aim of effective integration and advancement through the business.
Speakers will address succession planning strategies for enabling the next generation of nationals to take on management positions that provide training and development in a number of disciplines including teamwork, communication and interpersonal effectiveness. The role of competency assurance systems will be shared in the development, assessment and verification of both technical and non-technical skills. We address the importance of mentoring, learning from lessons/experiences and how organisations can encourage young nationals to advance as leaders in the business, whilst maintaining accountability. We explore expectations from industry of these potential leaders, and how education and training providers can support their delivery.
