Gender diversity: the greatest opportunity for improved organisational efficiency

National oil and gas companies across the Middle East cannot rely purely on a male workforce to meet the demand for skills. Diversity has proven business benefits, and is underpinned by a change in culture and for women to have access to equal opportunities as men within the workplace, from senior management level to technicians & operators. Diverse thinking enables enhanced organisational effectiveness through greater ideas, skills, knowledge and experience. There are however still major barriers to overcome. In this session we address:
– Methods for advancing women into leadership positions
– How companies are working with the education community to attract the next generation of
female workers for the oil & gas sector
– Techniques in place to overcome obstacles (such as the “double-burden” and infrastructure) to
achieve gender parity
